Kangen Water is Enagic's brand name for water produced by compatible LeveLuk water ionisers. The machine first filters suitable source water and then uses electrolysis to produce different outputs. The exact outputs and operating instructions depend on the model.
The short answer
Kangen Water is not one single water specification. A LeveLuk machine can provide drinking-water settings and separate non-drinking outputs for other tasks. The displayed setting, actual pH, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) and dissolved hydrogen are different measurements. None of those measurements alone proves a health benefit.
How the machine works
Source water enters the unit and passes through the installed filter.
Filtered water enters an electrolysis chamber with platinum-coated titanium plates.
The machine directs different water streams to the appropriate outlet.
The user selects a setting for the intended task and follows the model manual.
A built-in filter is not a complete treatment system for every possible contaminant. Filter capacity, replacement timing and the need for a pre-filter depend on the machine, filter label and local source water.
Drinking and non-drinking outputs
Use only the settings identified for drinking in the manual supplied with the machine.
Clean Water is the neutral filtered setting referred to in Enagic instructions for uses that should not use alkaline water, including taking medicines.
Strong Kangen Water and Strong Acidic Water are non-drinking outputs.
Beauty Water is an external-use output; it should not be treated as drinking water.
Keep non-drinking outputs clearly labelled and separate from drinking bottles.
What pH, ORP and hydrogen mean
pH describes acidity or alkalinity. ORP is an electrochemical measurement influenced by source water, dissolved substances, temperature and test conditions. Dissolved molecular hydrogen is a separate measurement that can change after dispensing. A fair product comparison states the measurement method and conditions instead of treating one number as proof that one water is medically superior.
