Start with the exact model and filter
There is no single maintenance timetable that fits every Enagic installation. Your model, filter, usage and source-water conditions affect the required care. Keep the current manual, filter instructions and service history together. This replaces our earlier blanket advice to descale every six months.
Automatic cleaning, E-Cleaning and deep cleaning
Treat these as different procedures. Automatic cleaning is part of the machine's operation. E-Cleaning is a user maintenance procedure where supported, using the correct kit and manufacturer instructions. Deep cleaning or repair is a service task. An automatic cycle does not mean all other maintenance is unnecessary, and professional service does not replace routine care.
Routine observation
Check the display and any maintenance prompts, correct hose placement, visible leaks and changes in water flow. Follow the manual's start-up and flushing instructions, particularly after a period without use. Keep the machine's electrical parts dry and clean the exterior only as instructed. Do not describe maintenance as requiring 'nothing special' every day.
When to clean
Use the applicable Enagic instructions for the cleaning method and interval. Harder water or changes in performance may require further assessment. Do not improvise chemical concentrations, cleaning powders, soaking times or internal disassembly. Ask for help if you do not have the correct instructions or kit.
When to replace the filter
Identify the exact filter and its compatible models before ordering. Follow that filter's rated capacity, time limit and the machine's applicable replacement prompts. These are not interchangeable across every filter. A generic annual or litre figure is not a substitute for the instructions supplied with your filter.
Reduced flow, unusual pH or a leak
Record the model, error message, flow change, source-water arrangement and date of the last cleaning or filter replacement. Follow the manual's troubleshooting steps. If water is reaching electrical parts, discontinue use and arrange appropriate assistance. Do not open the case or attempt internal electrical repairs.
Service costs and booking
Ask for an itemised quotation covering the model, location, service scope and any parts or filters before confirming a visit. Earlier general cost estimates should not be treated as a current quotation. Our service booking page describes the available request process; your appointment and scope should be confirmed by the team.
Your maintenance record
Record the date, task, filter or part number, observations and service provider. Bring this information when asking for support. It helps distinguish routine care from a fault that needs inspection.
