Is Kangen Water Really Expensive? Look at the Cost Differently
Updated: 6 days ago
Many people hear the price of a Kangen Water System and immediately think:
“That’s expensive.”
And that reaction is understandable.
When we only look at the total price, whether it is RM13,000, RM16,000 or more, it can feel like a big amount.
But price and value are not the same thing.
Sometimes, people walk away before they even understand what the system does, how it may fit into their family’s lifestyle, or how the payment can actually be spread out over time.
The real question should not only be:
“How much does it cost?”
A better question is:
“What does it actually cost me per month, per day, and per person?”
You Don’t Always Have to Pay Everything Upfront
One thing many people do not realise is that Kangen Water Systems can be purchased through credit card instalment plans.
According to Enagic Malaysia’s preferred bank instalment chart, selected banks and payment methods may offer instalment periods of up to 60 months, subject to the bank, card and payment method used.
And once we calculate the cost this way, the picture can look very different.
Let’s Take the SD501DX as an Example
The SD501DX is priced at approximately:
RM16,480
If the purchase is spread across 60 months:
RM16,480 ÷ 60 months = RM274.67 per month
Now divide that by 30 days:
RM274.67 ÷ 30 days = RM9.16 per day
If there are three people in the family:
RM9.16 ÷ 3 people = about RM3.05 per person per day
This example divides the machine purchase price only. It assumes an approved 60-month instalment plan, 30 days per month and three household members. Water machine purchases from Kangen Water Station include delivery, installation and the original manufacturer's warranty. Replacement filters, cleaning supplies, servicing, optional pre-filtration, water, electricity and any applicable bank charges are not included in this calculation. Confirm card eligibility, bank terms, supplied items, delivery arrangements, warranty terms and the full quotation before ordering.
Read our filter and maintenance guide to plan ongoing care.
So instead of only seeing:
RM16,480
We can also look at it as:
Around RM274.67 per month
or
Around RM9.16 per day for the whole family
or
Around RM3.05 per person per day for a family of three
That feels very different.
Is Your Family Worth RM3 a Day?
This is the question we often forget to ask.
Are you worth investing around RM3 a day in?
Is your husband or wife worth RM3 a day?
Are your children worth RM3 a day?
For many of us, RM3 can easily be spent on a drink, a snack, or something we hardly think twice about.
So when we look at it from the perspective of a long-term household water system and daily lifestyle investment, is RM3 per person per day really something that should stop us from even learning more?
The point is not that everyone must buy a Kangen Water System.
The point is that we should not reject something simply because the total price sounds high before understanding the full picture.
Price Is What You Pay. Value Is What You Receive.
When someone only sees the price, almost anything can look expensive.
But once we understand the product, the way it is used, the payment options available, and how the cost is shared across a household over time, we can make a much better decision.
A RM16,480 machine may sound expensive at first.
But approximately RM3 per person per day for a family of three may feel very different.
The price did not change.
Our understanding changed.
And that is why we always encourage people:
Don’t decide based on the price alone. Understand the value first, then decide whether it is right for you and your family.
Start by Understanding, Not by Buying
There is no need to make a decision immediately.
First, understand how Kangen Water works.
Understand the different machine models.
Understand the instalment options.
Understand which system may suit your household and budget.
Then make an informed decision.
Because sometimes, what looks expensive at first may become much more reasonable once we understand what we are actually paying for.
